[Results] Vote on What I Should Watch Next (April 2021 edition)

Last week I put up a quick poll and while a few of the options I had listed came close – the winner is Perfect Blue.

I might try to watch it this weekend and begin (slowly) writing up a review over the next week.

Keen to get to this, even as I kinda worry that I won’t have much to add to a film that’s been written about quite extensively 😀

  1. Yes! Perfect Blue won! That will be an amazing choice. I understand how reviewing that movie can be difficult, but I’m sure it will be better than the Rotten Tomato-bots only giving that movie a 60-something percent on that site. Yet Dumbo got 97%? Puh-leeze!

    1. Thanks, I’m still feeling the pressure hahaha 😀

Woah, 60-something? Well, it beat the Emoji movie, at least… but all sarcasm aside, I would have thought even without so-called universal acclaim, ‘Perfect Blue’ should have got more than 60-odd, yeah.

My disc includes some special features so I’ve been watching them as they include interviews with Kon and I was interested to see his response to the film years after – I’ll mention it in the review of course 🙂

      1. You’re welcome, Ashley.

Yeah, I shook my head seeing that when I did research on my Perfect Blue review a few years ago. This was a much better movie than other animated or live action films that got higher scores on that site.

Awesome! I would certainly like to know more about Kon’s mindset after making that film.
