He's currently running a casual review blog called "The Review Heap" focusing on anime and animation. He is the author of half a dozen poetry collections and a few novels, some published traditionally and some self-published. He also occasionally publishes other folks too.

I haven’t seen it, but based on the art style I will guess that the picture with the painting is from The Daughter of Twenty Faces?

The first one looks like Ninja Scroll, but I know it isn’t, so Highlander. Also see Jujutsu Kaisen in there. And, of course, Gurren Lagann.
